Getting started with Windows Media Center
Did you know you can sync your recorded TV to your Windows Mobile phone?
Hi, I’m Mike Seamons with the Windows Media Center team and I’m going to show you how to transfer your music, pictures, videos, and even recorded TV from Windows Media Center to your Windows mobile phone.
All you need is to connect your phone to a PC running Windows Vista Home Premium or Ultimate through the USB cable that came with the phone. I recommend using a phone with Windows Mobile 6.0 or later.
Your computer should recognize that your phone has been connected. It might begin to install drivers for the phone. Don’t worry, it’s okay this is happening. Now open Windows Media Center, go to Tasks, and select Sync.
Then select the media that you want to sync to your phone. You can sync music, photos, and video content, as long as the content isn’t protected. I’m going to add recorded TV to my phone. A favorite show that I recorded last week.
Once you’ve selected all the files, click Sync. When the sync completes, you’re done.
Keep in mind that if you have a lot of content, it might take a while and you may want to sync to a high capacity memory card in your Windows Mobile Phone, such as a MicroSD card.
Your recorded TV files are now on your phone.
Now you can catch up on all your shows anywhere and anytime. Enjoy!
