Store and share photos

Whether you’re on your phone, computer, or tablet, with SkyDrive your favorite photos are easy to find and share. You can share photos in full resolution slide shows and make the original photos or videos available to your friends for download. You can easily share photos on your SkyDrive from your phone, too.

To share photos, sign in to SkyDrive.com or open the SkyDrive folder on your device (download SkyDrive for your computer if you haven’t already), and select the photos or albums you want to share. Right-click, and then choose Share. Pick the sharing option that works best for you.

Manage family lists

Manage family lists

In any household, there's always more than one list to manage. You might have a grocery list, a to-do list for an upcoming birthday party, and a packing list for a family trip all at the same time!

All you have to do is sign in to SkyDrive.com on any PC, Mac, or phone, look for Create at the top, and click the OneNote icon. Create your list, and then right-click and choose Share to give your whole crew access to the list. Forgot to add milk? No problem. Just update the list while they’re at the store. Your family will always see the most recent list.

Keep important info at hand

If you have paper documents or manuals, scan them (if you have a PC you can use WindowsFax and Scan), and save them as an image file in your SkyDrive folder. Or, you can take pictures of the documents using your phone and upload them with SkyDrive on your phone . If you choose to, you can share the folder with other people. Just sign in to SkyDrive.com, select the folder, and then click Share.

Help your kids with their homework

When your kids are working on a paper or project for school, an easy way to help them is to review their work using SkyDrive. First, have your child create the paper using Microsoft Word, save it to SkyDrive.com, and then share it with you. Then it’s your turn: sign in to SkyDrive, add your comments, and save. Your student can automatically see your feedback and finish the paper.
