Working with the Pictures folder

The Pictures folder is a convenient location to store all of your digital pictures. Many graphic design and photo-editing programs use this location by default when you open or save pictures. It is also the default location to import pictures from your digital camera, scanner, or other media device.

You can use the Pictures folder to view and share your pictures. To see a larger view of a picture, click the picture, and then, on the toolbar, click Preview. You can use other buttons on the toolbar to print pictures, see a slide show of your pictures, and send pictures in e-mail.

Another place to work with your photos is Windows Photo Gallery, which includes powerful tools to help you find, organize, and edit your pictures.
