Crop a picture using Paint
If you're not satisfied with the way a picture was composed with the camera, you can use Paint to crop the photo to improve its composition or to focus on certain elements in it.

To crop a picture using Paint

Open Paint by clicking the Start button
, clicking All Programs, clicking Accessories, and then clicking Paint.

Click the
Paint button

, click
Open, click the picture you want to crop, and then click
Open.

On the Home tab, in the Image group, click Select.

Click and drag to select the element you want to keep in the picture, and then click Crop.

Click the
Paint button

, point to
Save as, and then click the picture file type for the cropped picture.

Type a new file name in the File name box, and then click Save.
Note
If you are unable to view the entire picture on your screen while trying to select the part of the picture you want to keep, click the
Zoom out button

on the Zoom slider, until you can view the whole picture.
