Windows Mobility Center—included on laptops running the Home Premium, Professional, Enterprise, and Ultimate editions of Windows 7—puts commonly used laptop settings in one spot so you can access them easily on the go.
With the Mobility Center panel, you can adjust your display brightness and volume, check your battery status, change your power settings, and turn your wireless on and off, among other tasks. It's all in one place, so you don't need to go hunting around for settings when you move from your desk to a meeting or your home to the airport. (You might see different options depending on your hardware and PC manufacturer.)
In the Professional, Ultimate, and Enterprise editions of Windows 7, Mobility Center also includes presentation settings, a collection of presets you can apply with one click before you use your laptop in a presentation. Your computer will stay awake and system notifications (such as e‑mail alerts) will be turned off. You can also turn off the screen saver, adjust the speaker volume, and change your desktop background.
