Set up Guide listings for use in Windows Media Center
If you have Windows Vista Home Premium or Windows Vista Ultimate, and you have a TV signal connected to your computer, you can use the Guide to keep track of TV listings in Windows Media Center. The Guide is useful for scheduling programs you want to record in Windows Media Center, and for simply browsing through channels to see what's on TV.

To find your favorite programs more easily, you can configure your Guide listings to match your local service provider's guide listings.
-
On the start screen, scroll to Tasks, click settings, click TV, click Guide, and then click Set Up Guide Listings.
-
Follow the directions on the screen to set up Guide listings for your area.
If you are asked to select a TV service provider, and you're not sure which one to select, check a recent bill or statement from your TV service provider to find the appropriate information.
The providers listed in Windows Media Center vary by ZIP or Postal Code. If the provider you subscribe to is not listed for the ZIP or Postal Code you entered, try entering codes for nearby areas to find the appropriate Guide listings.
