Start System Configuration

System Configuration is an advanced tool that can help identify problems that might prevent Windows from starting correctly.

  • Open System Configuration by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Maintenance, clicking Administrative Tools, and then double-clicking System Configuration. Administrator permission required If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
