Display Hijiri dates

The Hijiri calendar, also known as the Islamic calendar, is a lunar calendar. You can adjust the calendar in Windows to display dates according to the Hijiri calendar. To do this, you need to:

  1. Add the Arabic language.

  2. Set the format for dates and digits to an Arabic region or country.

  3. Change the calendar type to Hijiri.

The following sections explain how to do each of these tasks.

Note

Note

This version of Windows supports other lunar calendars, such as Hebrew. You can display dates using other lunar calendars by following the same basic steps of adding the input language, setting the format for dates to a region or country that uses that calendar, and changing the calendar type.
