View content blocked by Parental Controls

If you are using Parental Controls and you try to visit a website that is blocked or has blocked content, the content will either be completely blocked by a full-page message or it will be partially blocked by the Information bar. If you want to see the blocked content, follow these steps.

To view content that was completely blocked

  1. Open Internet Explorer by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, and then clicking Internet Explorer.

  2. Go to the website where Internet Explorer displays a full-page message.

  3. Click the Ask an administrator for permission link, and then follow the instructions.

To view content that was partially blocked

  1. Open Internet Explorer by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, and then clicking Internet Explorer.

  2. Go to the website that causes the message to be displayed.

  3. Click the Information bar, click View blocked content, and then follow the instructions.

  • To download blocked files or add-ons, you must first temporarily disable Parental Controls, and then try downloading the files or add-ons again. For more information, see Set up Parental Controls.
