To show or hide the Favorites, Command, and Status bars

  • Right-click an open space to the right of the New tab button, and then select a bar:

    • Favorites bar

    • Command bar

    • Status bar

To open the Favorites bar on the left side of the browser

  1. Open Internet Explorer by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button. In the search box, type Internet Explorer, and then, in the list of results, click Internet Explorer.

  2. On your keyboard, hold down the Shift and Ctrl keys, and then press the I key.
