Record live TV to watch later
If you buy Windows Media Center, you can record live TV shows and movies right onto your PC. You can even schedule recordings of new episodes of your favorite TV series.
Set it up
If you don't have Windows Media Center, you can purchase the Windows Media Center Pack.
Before you get started, you need two things:
A TV tuner to connect to your PC. You can find this online or at an electronics store.
Go to the
Compatibility Center for Windows 8 to find out which TV tuner you can use.
A TV signal source (such as from a TV antenna or a cable TV jack).
Connect the TV tuner to your PC and make sure your signal source works for your TV tuner, and then you're ready to watch and record.
