Select multiple items using a tablet pen

You can open, delete, or move many files or folders at one time by selecting multiple items from a list. Check boxes are the easiest way to select multiple items by using your tablet pen.

To select multiple items

  • Using a tablet pen, hover over one item at a time and select the check box that appears to the left of each item.

To turn check boxes on or off

By default, check boxes are turned on only when you are using a Tablet PC. Use the following procedure if you want to turn check boxes on or off.

  1. Open Folder Options by tapping the Start button Picture of the Start button, tapping Control Panel, tapping Appearance and Personalization, and then tapping Folder Options.

  2. Tap the View tab.

  3. Under Advanced settings, select or clear the Use check boxes to select items check box, and then tap OK.
