The new and improved features in Windows 7 make it easier for you to manage files, find information, and customize your desktop so that you can work the way you want to.

Resize and arrange windows automatically

Snap makes it easy to expand or maximize windows, or align them against the edges of the desktop. For more information, see Expand windows vertically on the desktop using Snap, Maximize windows on the desktop using Snap, and Arrange windows side by side on the desktop using Snap.

Minimize windows with a shake of the mouse

With Shake, you can instantly minimize every open window on the desktop except the one you want to focus on. For more information, see Minimize windows on the desktop using Shake.

Preview window contents at a glance

Customize the taskbar
