Create and edit a sticky note

You can quickly create a handwritten note and add writing to a voice note. If you need more writing space, you can resize the Sticky Notes window. All notes are automatically saved and remain in the stack of sticky notes until you delete them.

To create a written note

  1. Open Sticky Notes by tapping the Start button Picture of the Start button, typing Sticky Notes in the search box, and then tapping Sticky Notes in the list of results.

  2. In the lower-right corner of the note, tap New Note.

    If the New Note button is unavailable, use the current note.

To remove an ink stroke

You can easily remove an ink stroke from a written note by using the scratch-out gesture.

  1. Open Sticky Notes by tapping the Start button Picture of the Start button, typing Sticky Notes in the search box, and then tapping Sticky Notes in the list of results.

  2. Tap the Tools menu, point to Options, and then tap Enable Scratch-out Gesture.

  3. Using the tablet pen, make a scratch-out gesture over the ink stroke that you want to erase.

    Be sure to make the scratch-out gesture with a quick back-and-forth movement.
