When you export your stack of sticky notes, you save a copy of the stack by specifying a file name and location. You can do this to create a backup copy or to make the stack available for copying to a different computer. After you export the stack, it remains unchanged on your desktop.
When you import a stack of sticky notes, you either add the imported notes to your current stack or replace your current stack with the imported one. You can import a stack that you previously exported or that you copied to your Tablet PC from a different computer.
Open Sticky Notes by tapping the Start button , typing Sticky Notes in the search box, and then tapping Sticky Notes in the list of results.
Tap the Tools menu, and then tap Export.
In the Save in box, browse to the folder in which you want to save the stack of sticky notes.
A stack of sticky notes has an .snt file extension.
Tap the Tools menu, and then tap Import.
Select the file that you want to import.
Under Action at the bottom of the dialog box, tap Merge or Replace.
The Merge option adds the imported sticky notes to your existing stack. All notes in the stack are then displayed according to the date and time that they were created, with the most recently created note on top.
The Replace option replaces your existing stack with the imported one. If you select Replace, you cannot recover the stack that you replaced.
