Open Windows Contacts

You can use contacts to store information about people and organizations and to quickly send them e‑mail. You can also combine multiple contacts to create contact groups, which are a convenient way to send e‑mail to many people at once.

Open Windows Contacts by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking All Programs, and then clicking Windows Contacts.


  • Windows Contacts replaces the Windows Address Book found in earlier versions of Windows. Windows Contacts functions as the address book for Windows Mail. You can also use Windows Contacts by itself, to track information about people and organizations.

  • Here's another way to open Windows Contacts: Click the Start button Picture of the Start button. In the Search box, type Windows Contacts, and then, in the list of results, click Windows Contacts.
