Personalize handwriting recognition for another language

Handwriting recognition personalization is currently available for English, Japanese, Chinese (Traditional), Chinese (Simplified), and Korean only. Handwriting recognition personalization contains two parts: the Handwriting recognition personalization tool and the automatic learning.

With the Handwriting recognition personalization tool, you can perform the following tasks:

  • Target specific recognition errors. Currently available for English, Japanese, Chinese (Traditional), Chinese (Simplified), and Korean.

  • Teach the recognizer your handwriting style. Currently available for English.

Automatic learning performs the following tasks:

  • Automatically learns your vocabulary. Currently available for English.

  • Automatically learns your handwriting style. Currently available for Japanese, Chinese (Traditional), Chinese (Simplified), and Korean.

To personalize handwriting for another language

By default, the Handwriting recognition personalization tool opens for your default input language. If you have more than one input language installed, use the following procedure to choose the language that you want to personalize.

  1. Open Tablet PC Input Panel.

  2. Use the Language bar in Input Panel Picture of the language bar in Tablet PC Input Panel to select the input language that you want to personalize.

  3. Tap Tools, and then tap Personalize Handwriting Recognition.
