This section describes the Windows Vista tools and Microsoft Web site downloads that help you manage the registry.
There is no Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-in for the registry. To view and edit the registry, use the Registry Editor, Regedit.exe.
To open the registry with elevated privileges, click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt and then point to Run as administrator. In the command prompt that opens, type regedit.exe.
