Remove a connection from a network bridge

You can remove one or more connections from a network bridge without affecting other bridged segments. You might want to do this, for example, if you decide to turn one segment of your network into a separate network.

  1. Open Network Connections by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Network and Internet, clicking Network and Sharing Center, and then clicking Manage network connections.

  2. Under Network Bridge, right-click the connection that you want to remove, and then click Remove from Bridge. Administrator permission required If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
