Sharing photos and videos by using Windows Live Photo Gallery
Being able to easily share photos and videos is part of what
makes Windows Live Photo Gallery convenient and fun to use. With Photo Gallery, you can publish on Windows Live and many other popular photo and video sharing sites.
The steps for sharing photos using Photo Gallery are similar no matter which service you want to publish on. Here are a few examples to get you started.
Publishing
an online album on Windows Live
You can share your photos by publishing an online album on Windows Live.
To publish an online album
-
In Windows Live Photo Gallery, select the photos
you want to publish, click Publish, and then click Online album.
-
Type a name for your album or select an existing one.
Publishing photos on Windows Live
-
Click Publish.
-
After your photos have been uploaded to your album, you can view it by clicking View album.
Your published
album is ready to share!
That's all there is to it. Now just point your friends to your
album and tell them to look at your new photos!
Sending photos and videos in e-mail
Another way to share photos and videos is to attach them to an
e-mail message. Keep in mind that there are limitations with some e-mail
accounts on the size of files that are accepted. Filling up a friend's inbox with
photos of your European holiday or videos of your wedding may not go over
well.
To send a photo or video in e-mail
-
In Windows Live Photo Gallery, select the file or
files you want to send, and then click E-mail.
-
Select the
size you want the photos to be (videos are not resizable), and then click Attach. Photo Gallery will create a message with your files attached. Add recipients, a subject, and a quick note, and your message is ready to send.
