What are the video card system requirements in Windows DVD Maker?

To start and run Windows DVD Maker, the video card on your computer must support DirectX 9 with video drivers for Windows Vista. To learn whether your current video card supports Windows DVD Maker, check the documentation that came with your computer or visit the video card manufacturer's website.

To find information about the video card installed on your computer, do the following:

  1. Click Start, click Control Panel, click Hardware and Sound, and then click Device Manager.

  2. Click the plus sign (+) next to Display Adapters to display your video card information.

If you plan to buy a new video card, check the packaging to see whether the video card supports DirectX 9 and contains video drivers for Windows Vista.
