What happened to Messenger in Windows Media Center?

Windows Messenger is a feature of previous versions of Windows Media Center and is not available in this version. To send and receive instant messages, you will need to install another instant messaging program from Microsoft or another software provider. If you install an instant messaging program, you might not be able to access it using the remote control.
