Windows Movie Maker in Windows XP uses video and audio filters when you import, preview, and save movies. If you use other video and audio programs, such as DVD writing software or digital media software, you might have to change the filter settings.
Click the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Compatibility tab.
In the list of video filters, you can turn on or off a filter by selecting or clearing the check box.
To restore default filter settings, click Restore All Defaults.
