Windows Media Player error C00D10D1: unidentified codec

Windows Media Player can't play the file (or can't play either the audio or video portion of the file) because the codec isn't installed on your computer.

The missing codec can't be identified. If you know the name of the codec or its ID (known as a FourCC identifier for video codecs or a WaveFormat identifier for audio codecs), then you might be able to search for it on the Internet.

For more information about codecs, see Codecs: frequently asked questions.
