Before setting up a connection on your computer, make sure your workplace's network administrator has already published programs and desktops (remote computers and virtual computers) for you to connect to. Your network administrator will tell you when these resources are available and will give you a special file (known as a setup file) or a URL to use to set up the connection.
Double-click the setup file to begin setting up your connection.
Follow the instructions in the wizard.
Open RemoteApp and Desktop Connections by clicking the Start button , and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type remote, and then click RemoteApp and Desktop Connections.
In the left pane, click Set up a new connection with RemoteApp and Desktop Connections, and then follow the steps in the wizard.
For information on using a connection after you've set it up, see Access resources and computers using RemoteApp and Desktop Connections.
