Do I have Media Center and Internet TV?

If you have Windows 7 Home Premium, Windows 7 Professional, or Windows 7 Ultimate, then you have Media Center.

To access Internet TV in Media Center, all you need is an Internet connection. However, Internet TV is not available in all regions. If you don't see the Internet TV option in Media Center, then it's probably not available in your region and you won't be able to access it.

What type of content is available on Internet TV?

Internet TV brings all types of content—from movies and TV shows to sports highlights and webisodes—together in one place. This content comes from broadband video sites all over the Internet.

Much of the content on Internet TV is free, but some services might require a subscription. For example, if you have a Netflix account, you can access movies and more from your Netflix Instant Watch queue right from within Internet TV.

How do I access Internet TV?

Here's how to open Internet TV on your computer:

  1. Click the Start button Picture of the Start button, click All Programs, and then click Windows Media Center.
  2. On the Windows Media Center start screen, scroll to TV, and then click Internet TV.

If this is the first time you've opened Internet TV, you'll need to install the service before using it. Click the check box, and then click Install.

  3. Scroll down, left, or right to browse TV shows, movies, and other videos until you find something you want to watch, and then click it.

You might need to install additional software depending on which service you choose. Click the check box, and then click Install.
