Notes: 

  • This feature is not supported if you sign in with a work/school account.

  • If you use an authenticator app or other multifactor sign in, you will need an app password to sign in.

  • If you want to create another email address that uses the same inbox, sent, items, and contact list as your existing Outlook.com account, read how to create an email alias.

  • If you want a completely fresh start, sign out of Outlook.com, then create a new account.

  • Only Microsoft 365 Basic, Personal & Family subscribers can add an additional account to their mailbox. Buy a subscription.

Tip: To see all your email accounts, calendars, and contacts in a combined inbox, download Outlook for iOS or Outlook for Android.

Frequently asked questions about connected accounts on Outlook.com

Yes. Accounts that were connected before May 10, 2021, will continue to sync as usual. Email that has already synced will continue to appear in your inbox unless you remove it manually.
