With the right equipment, you can schedule and record live TV shows and movies on your PC.
Here's what you need to get started:

Connect the TV tuner to your PC, make sure your signal source works for your TV tuner, and then you're ready to watch and record.

To start recording while the show is airing, tap or click the Record button in the playback controls.

Tap or click the category that you want to search by (such as Title), and then follow the instructions to start a search.
On the search results page, tap or click the TV show or movie that you want to record, and then click Record to schedule a recording.
