When you add your IMAP enabled account (such as Yahoo Mail) to Outlook.com you can continue to send and receive new email from your current address, and import your old email and calendar info. To add your account, follow these steps.

The import tool will import your existing email messages and set up Outlook.com so you can send email from your IMAP enabled account address. Run the import tool and follow the instructions on your screen. When you're done, come back to this page to finish the other steps.

Here are instructions for Yahoo Mail on the Yahoo! website.

If you have a Yahoo account, you can import the contact list to the People web service in Outlook.com. If you have another email service, you might be able to connect your contact list.
Click the arrow next to the Outlook.com logo in the upper left.
In People, under Import contacts, click Start import.
Click Yahoo!, and follow the instructions on the screen.
Sign in to the email account you want to import contacts from.
Export your contacts to a .CSV file, and save it to your hard drive.
Different email services work differently. See your email provider's support pages for more info.
Sign in to your Outlook.com account.
In People, under Import contacts, click Start import, and then click Other email services.
Browse to the file you saved in Step 2, click Upload and then follow the instructions on the screen.
Note that if you later disconnect the account, those contacts will no longer appear in your Outlook.com contact list.

Here are the steps to export your Yahoo! calendars.
To import your calendar info from other IMAP accounts into Outlook.com, you must first export it. The steps required might vary from service to service. Once you've successfully exported the calendar info, follow the instructions for importing a calendar in Import or subscribe to a calendar in Outlook.com.
To subscribe to your calendar, you must first get the private URL (which is often not the URL that appears in your browser's Address bar). The steps required might vary from service to service. Once you have the private URL, follow the instructions for subscribing to a calendar in Import or subscribe to a calendar in Outlook.com. Note that you'll need to go to your IMAP enabled account to add new calendar events.
If you import your calendar, to continue receiving new events or updates tell people to send events to your Outlook.com email address.
If you shared your IMAP enabled account calendar, you'll probably want to share your Outlook.com calendar.
You can send email from any account you've added to Outlook.com.
Click New to start a new mail.
Click the down arrow next to your email address (upper left).
Select from the list of addresses.
If you send a lot of email from one of your addresses, you can set it as your default "From" address.
Click Your email accounts.
Under Default "From" address, select the address you'd like to send from by default.
To return to your inbox, click the Outlook.com logo in the upper left.
If you want to keep email from different addresses separate (for example, your personal address and business address), Outlook.com can automatically sort incoming mail into different folders.
Customizing Outlook, click Rules for sorting new messages, and then click New.
Under Step 1:
On the first list, select To or Cc line.
On the second list, select contains.
In the text box, enter the address for the email you want to sort.
Under Step 2, do one of the following:
If the folder already exists, select Move to and select the folder from the list.
If the folder doesn’t exist yet, select Move to a new folder, and enter the folder name.
You can also automatically forward, delete, add or remove a category, or flag the message.
Messages sent to a mailing list won't be added to this folder.
