How do I know I'm signed in as an administrator?
To sign in as an administrator, you need to know the username and password for an administrator account on the PC. If you don't have an administrator account, you can ask an administrator to change your account type. If you're not sure which type of account you have, you can check after you've signed in by doing the following:
Show allSwipe in from the right edge of the screen, tap Settings, then tap Change PC settings.
(If you're using a mouse, point to the top-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer down, click Settings, then click Change PC settings.) Tap or click Users.
Your account type is displayed below your username.
If your account type is Administrator, then you're currently signed in as an administrator. To see a list of other people who can sign in to this PC and their account types, tap or click Manage another account.
Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, tap Settings, then tap Change PC settings.
(If you're using a mouse, point to the top-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer down, click Settings, then click Change PC settings.) Tap or click Users.
Tap or click Manage User Accounts.
You might be asked for an admin password or to confirm your choice.
Find the username you're signed in with. The account type is shown in the Group column.
See each person's account type and which domain or PC they can sign in to.
