What features does my app have permission to use?

Every description page for an app in the Windows Store includes a list of features that the app has permission to use after you've installed it on your PC. For example, a travel app might use your location to help identify interesting landmarks near you, a photo app might use your pictures library to create a slide show, or an instant messaging app might use the webcam connected to your PC for video chats.

To view the features an app has permission to use

  1. On the Start screen, tap or click Store to open the Windows Store.

  2. Search or browse for an app, and then tap or click it.

  3. You can see a short version of this list on the left side of the description page, or you can read the full list of permissions by tapping or clicking Details.
