How do I add videos and photos in Movie Maker?

The first step to making a movie in Movie Maker is to add videos and photos. There are a few different ways to add them.

In Movie Maker, on the Home tab, in the Add group, click Add videos and photos.
In the Add Videos and Photos dialog box, open the folder that contains the photos or videos that you want to add, select the video files and photos, and then click Open.

To select multiple photos and videos, press and hold the Ctrl key, and then click each photo and video you want.

In Photo Gallery, select the videos and photos that you want to use in your movie.

To select multiple photos and videos, select the check box in the upper-left corner for each photo and video you want.
On the Create tab, in the Share group, click Movie.

Movie Maker opens automatically, and the selected photos and videos are added to the storyboard.

Quickly add photos and videos files to Movie Maker—drag them from the folder on your PC to Movie Maker.
You can use Photo Gallery to get photos and videos off your camera and onto your PC so you can use them in Movie Maker.
If you have video on a videotape in a digital video (DV) camera, you'll need to import the video from the tape onto your PC before you can use that footage in Movie Maker.
