Use Speech Recognition to work with folders and files
There are two ways to select and work with folders and files:
-
If you know the name of the object you're working with, say that name. If you say the name of anything on the screen, Windows Speech Recognition will apply your command to it. For example, you might say "Click Pictures."
-
If you don't know the name of the file or folder you want to work with, say "number everything" and numbers will appear next to every object on the screen. Then say the number of the object you need. For example, you might say "double-click five" to open the object with that number.
-
Open Speech Recognition by clicking the Start button
, clicking All Programs, clicking Accessories, clicking Ease of Access, and then clicking Windows Speech Recognition.
