If you're running Windows Vista or Windows 7 on your computer, you can install Windows Internet Explorer 9 to replace your existing version of Internet Explorer.
Check the Download Internet Explorer 9 webpage periodically for updates to Internet Explorer 9. If an update is available, repeat the installation process to install the latest version.

When you install Internet Explorer 9, additional software is also installed. For more information, see Prerequisites for installing Internet Explorer 9.
If you've already installed Internet Explorer 9 Beta or Internet Explorer 9 Release Candidate (RC), follow the installation steps below to upgrade to the final release version of Internet Explorer 9.
Go to the Download Internet Explorer 9 webpage.
Select the language you want to install and your version of Windows, and then click Download.
In the File Download dialog box, click Run, and then, in the User Account Control dialog box, click Continue.
Click one of the following:
Restart now (recommended) (to finish the installation process now).
After you install Internet Explorer 9, you might need to update add-ons already installed on your computer (like Microsoft Silverlight, Adobe Shockwave, Adobe Flash, or Java). You might need to go to an add-on manufacturer's website to get the update. For more information about add-ons, see How to manage add-ons in Internet Explorer 9.
If you're trying to uninstall Internet Explorer because of an issue with the browser, first check to see if a solution is listed in Internet Explorer 9 Help and How-to.
The following instructions apply to both Windows 7 and Windows Vista.
Under Uninstall an update, scroll down to the Microsoft Windows section.
Right-click Windows Internet Explorer 9, click Uninstall, and then, when prompted, click Yes.
Restart now (to finish the process of uninstalling Internet Explorer 9 and restore the previous version of Internet Explorer).
After you uninstall Internet Explorer 9, the previously installed version of Internet Explorer will be available on your PC. It isn't necessary to reinstall.
