Outlook uses public names and profile pictures from popular social networks, such as Twitter, to help show who an email is from.
It also allows other Twitter users on Outlook to follow you when you send them an email. Learn more.
We’re able to recognize your Twitter account when you've associated it with an email address from a Microsoft service (@live.com, for example), and your Twitter settings allow your account to be found by that email address.
Your Twitter setting to Let others find me by my email address controls whether other people, including those on Outlook, can find your public Twitter account by your email address on file with Twitter.

Go to the Twitter account settings page.
Sign in, if you aren't already.
In the email section of your account settings, check the Let others find me by my email address option.
On the bottom of the page click Save changes.
It might take a day or two for Outlook to reflect your changed Twitter setting.
If you turn off your Twitter setting to Let others find me by my email address, then neither Outlook nor anyone else will be able to find your Twitter account by your email address. Here's how to set it:
In the email section of your account settings, clear the checkbox for the Let others find me by my email address option.
