Share from apps

You can share photos and videos directly from the Photos, OneDrive, and Camera apps with the Share charm.

  1. Open the Photos, OneDrive, or Camera app.

  2. Do one of the following:

    • In the Photos or OneDrive app, go to the folder with the videos you want to share, and then swipe down on or right-click them.

    • In the Camera app, go into the camera roll and find the video you want to share.

  3. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Share.
(If you're using a mouse, point to the upper-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer down, and then click Share.)
  4. Tap or click the app you want to share with, and then follow the on-screen directions.

Tip

  • If your files are stored in OneDrive, you have the option to send invitations that give specific people permission to see the files or get a link to share with a wider audience. For more info, see Photos app for Windows: FAQ.

  • Check the Windows Store on your PC for more apps that share videos.

Watch videos on your TV

You can play videos, movies, TV shows, or anything else that's on your PC when you connect your PC to your TV. Use the Xbox SmartGlass app or connect cables from your PC to your TV. The type of cable you use depends on the type of TV you have and the type of output ports on your PC.

  1. Connect your PC to your TV.

  2. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Devices.
(If you're using a mouse, point to the lower-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer up, and then click Devices.)

  3. Then tap or click Second screen.

  4. Tap or click Duplicate if you want the same content on both your PC and your TV, or tap or click Extend so you can work on your PC while you stream a movie to your TV.
