If you receive Windows update error 8007f0f4 or FFFFFFFF, it means that an important update can't be installed because of a problem on your computer. The problem is usually caused by a malware (malicious software) infection on your computer. To prevent the computer from becoming unstable, Windows won't install the update.

We recommend that you install and run an antivirus program on your computer, remove any malware, and then install the important update.
