You can get visual cues instead of sound alerts in Windows by changing your settings. Here's how.

  1. Select  (Start) >  Settings > Accessibility > Audio.

  2. Expand the Flash my screen during audio notifications dropdown menu and select the option you want.

Go to audio settings

  1. Go to Start  > Settings > Ease of Access  > Audio .

  2. Choose an option from the drop-down menu under Show audio alerts visually.

  3. If you want to turn on text captions, enter Replace sounds with visual cues in the search box on your taskbar, and choose it from the search results. Then, check the box next to Turn on text captions for spoken dialog.
