Share your video

Remember good times with friends and family by sharing the videos you make.

Share using SkyDrive

After you've created a movie, you can use the SkyDrive app and the Share charm to share with friends and family.

Here's how:

  • In the SkyDrive app, swipe up from the bottom edge or down from the top edge, and then tap New folder.

    (If you're using a mouse, right-click in the SkyDrive app, and then click New folder.)

  • Enter a folder name, and then tap or click Create folder.

  • Tap the folder to open it, swipe up from the bottom edge or down from the top edge, and then tap Upload.

    (If you're using a mouse, right-click in the SkyDrive app, and then click Upload.

  • Select the movie file, and then tap or click Add to SkyDrive.

  • Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Share.

    (If you're using a mouse, point to the upper-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer down, and then click Share.)

  • Choose how you want to share, and then follow the on-screen instructions.

Share using video apps

If you used an app from the Windows Store to create your video, open the Share charm and follow the on-screen instructions.

  • Some apps might not offer sharing.

Share using Movie Maker

If you use Windows 8, you can share movies you create with Movie Maker on your favorite sites like Facebook, YouTube, or SkyDrive.

Here's how:

  • Open the Search charm, enter Movie Maker, and then tap or click Movie Maker.

  • Open a Movie Maker project.

  • On the Home tab, in the Share group, choose site you want to post your movie on, and then follow the on-screen instructions.
