Create and play a voice note

The Sticky Notes voice feature is an additional way to retain information. You can record a new voice note or add your voice to a handwritten note.

To create a voice note

  1. Open Sticky Notes by tapping the Start button Picture of the Start button, typing Sticky Notes in the search box, and then tapping Sticky Notes in the list of results.

  2. In the lower-right corner of the note, tap New Note.

    If the New Note button is unavailable, use the current note.

  3. In the lower-left corner, tap the Record button.

  4. Speak into your computer microphone.

  5. When you finish recording, tap the Stop button.

  • When you tap the Record button, the date and time appear in the title bar.

  • You can record a maximum of 30 seconds. The position of the slider indicates how much recording time remains.

To play a voice note

  1. Open Sticky Notes by tapping the Start button Picture of the Start button, typing Sticky Notes in the search box, and then tapping Sticky Notes in the list of results.

  2. In the lower left corner, tap the Play button.

    Voice notes display the slider at the far right. This allows you to quickly identify voice notes when you browse your stack of sticky notes.
