Troubleshoot problems with tablet buttons

Here are solutions to some common problems with tablet buttons.

 I can't change the action that's assigned to one of my tablet buttons.

Not all tablet buttons can be customized.

To view which tablet buttons are customizable

  1. Open Tablet PC Settings by tapping the Start button Picture of the Start button, tapping Control Panel, tapping Mobile PC, and then tapping Tablet PC Settings.

  2. Tap the Buttons tab. The names of the tablet buttons that you can customize appear in the Tablet button list.

 I can't assign a press and hold action to one of my tablet buttons.

Some tablet buttons can be assigned only one action. To learn more, check the information that came with your Tablet PC or go to the manufacturer's website.
