Save a picture from a webpage

This information applies to Windows Internet Explorer 7 and Windows Internet Explorer 8.

  1. Open Internet Explorer by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, and then clicking Internet Explorer.

  2. Browse to a webpage with a picture you want to save.

  3. Right-click the picture.

  4. Click Save Picture As.

  5. In the Save Picture dialog box, browse to the folder where you want to save the file, and then click Save.

Right-click the link for the item you want to save, and then click Save Target As.

Copy information from a webpage into a document

Select the information you want to copy, click the Page button, and then click Copy. Paste the information into the document you are working on.

Create a desktop shortcut to the current page

Right-click in the page, and then click Create Shortcut.

Use a webpage picture as desktop background

Right-click the image on the webpage, and then click Set as Background.

Send a webpage in e‑mail

Click the Page button, and then click Send this Page. Fill in the e‑mail fields and then send the message. Note that you must have an e‑mail account and an e‑mail program set up on your computer to send the webpage in e‑mail.

  • Pictures are saved in the Pictures folder unless you specify a different location.
