View the details of a problem report
Problem reports help Windows to identify problems and to notify you about solutions. If a solution is not available, the details in a problem report can help Microsoft create a solution.
If a problem occurs and Windows asks if you want to check for a solution, you can view the details of the problem report before sending it to Microsoft. To view problem details before sending a report, in the dialog box that asks if you want to check for a solution to the problem, click View problem details.
You can also view report details in the problem history for the computer. Here's how:
-
Open Problem Reports and Solutions by clicking the Start button
, clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Maintenance, and then clicking Problem Reports and Solutions.
-
In the left pane, click View problem history.
-
Double-click the problem that you want to view.
