The touch pointer is a graphical tool that helps you target small objects on the screen when you use touch input.
The touch pointer consists of a left mouse button, a right mouse button, a drag area, and a pointer.
If touch input is available on your computer, the touch pointer helps you accomplish tasks that are difficult to perform with just your finger, such as targeting small objects on the screen. For example, you may find it easier to tap the Close button on a window or select items in a list by using the touch pointer.
To drag the touch pointer, place the tip of your finger anywhere within the drag area, and then drag your finger on the screen.
To target an item, drag the touch pointer to position the pointer over the item, and then use your finger to quickly tap the left mouse button once.
