The high-contrast color schemes in Windows Media Center are designed for people with low vision. You can turn on high contrast to make text easier to read.

Media Center has three color scheme settings:

Windows Media Center standard: The default color scheme of white text on a blue background.
High contrast white: Black text on a white background; meant for people with low vision.
High contrast black: White text on a black background; meant for people with low vision.

To turn on high contrast

On the Windows Media Center start screen, scroll to Tasks, click Settings, click General, and then click Visual and Sound Effects.
Under Color scheme, click High contrast white or High contrast black, and then click Save.

Notes

High contrast is available in Media Center when your computer is connected to most displays. However, it's not available when your computer is connected to an analog TV, or when you're using a Media Center Extender.
