Change the default music or video player
After installing a new music or video player, you might find that your music and videos open in the new program instead of your old, favorite program. If so, you can change the settings in Windows so that your music and videos open again in your favorite player.

To change the default music or video player
Open Computer by clicking the Start button , and then clicking Computer.
Open the folder containing the music or video file type you want to change.
Right-click the file, point to Open with, and then click Choose default program.
Click the program that you want to use to open this type of file.
Select the Always use the selected program to open this kind of file check box, and then click OK.
Some common music file types include: MP3, WMA, M4A, OGG, and WAV.
Some common video file types include: MPEG, AVI, MP4, WMV, and MOV.
