Train your computer to recognize your speech

To get the most out of Windows Speech Recognition, use the Speech Recognition Voice Training wizard to train your computer to recognize your speech. The Voice Training wizard guides you through a series of tasks designed to let the computer hear how you say many of the commands available through Speech Recognition.

  1. Open Speech Recognition by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Ease of Access, and then clicking Speech Recognition.

  2. Click Train your computer to better understand you.

  3. Follow the instructions in the wizard.

  • Speech Recognition is available only in English, French, Spanish, German, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.
