You can use Windows Fax and Scan to attach a scanned file to an e‑mail message or to a fax, and then send it to your recipients.
You can create a new fax and attach a scanned document or picture, or you can scan a document or picture and automatically attach it to a new fax when the scan is complete. Before you begin, make sure that your computer is ready to send a fax. For more information, see Set up your computer to send and receive faxes.
To use Scan view, at the bottom of the left pane, click Scan.
To fax a document or picture that you've already scanned, click the file name in the list of scanned files, and then click Forward as Fax on the toolbar.– or –To scan a document or picture and attach it to a fax, click File, click New, and then click Fax from Scanner. If provided, follow the instructions for scanning the document or picture.
After you scan the document or picture, Windows automatically opens a new fax and attaches the scanned file. For more information, see Send a fax.
In the New Fax window, type one or more recipient fax numbers and any other information that you want to send, such as a subject and cover page note.
When you're satisfied with your message, click Send.
Click the document or picture in the list of scanned files, and then click Forward as E‑mail on the toolbar.
In the new e‑mail message, type the e‑mail address for each of your primary recipients in the To box. In the Cc box, type the e‑mail address for each of the secondary recipients to whom you want to send a copy of the mail. If you're sending to multiple addresses, you typically need to separate them with semicolons. To see how to add multiple addresses, refer to the Help for the program.
In the Subject box, type the subject of the e‑mail message, and then click in the main message window and type your message.
