Post to Twitter and get your social updates and Tweets in one place—the People app. Choose how you want to see your updates—all together, from just one social network at a time, or by person.
Note: Due to changes Facebook has made to its software, Facebook integration in the People app is no longer supported. This means that the People app will no longer be able to access information from or share directly to Facebook. For more information, see Facebook Connect is no longer available.
You can share links, photos, and messages with your social networks from other apps and websites. Here's how to compose a Tweet:
On Start, tap or click People.
Tap or click Me.
In What's new, choose the social network you want to use, write your message, and tap or click the send icon to post it in your wall.
Here's how to share links and photos from apps or websites:
Go to the app or website you want to share from.
Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Share.(If you're using a mouse, point to the upper-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer down, and then click Share.)
Tap or click People and then tap or click the social network you want.
Keep an eye on what’s new with your friends and family using the People app. When you connect your accounts like Twitter you’ll get all the latest updates and Tweets all in one place. Retweet a Tweet without switching apps.
Tap or click What's new.
You'll see recent updates and Tweets, and you can like, comment, and retweet.
Pin the important people in your life to Start to see their picture and new updates without even opening an app. It's also a handy shortcut to send them email and start chatting.
Enter the name of the contact whose info you want to edit in the search box. You'll see a list of contacts as you type—tap or click the one you want.
Swipe in from the bottom edge to see the app commands.(If you're using a mouse, right-click within the app.)
Tap or click Pin to Start, enter a nickname if you want, and then tap or click Pin to Start.
